From a grandmother's kitchen in Abidjan to your shower shelf.

NUARA started with my grandmother's shea butter. Every Sunday, she'd warm a small ball between her palms and work it through my curls while telling me stories of the women who came before me.

When I moved to New York for college, I couldn't find products that honored my texture the way she did. The mainstream brands either ignored us or treated our hair like a problem to fix.

NUARA is my answer. We work directly with women's cooperatives in Ghana, Senegal, and Côte d'Ivoire. We formulate with intention. And we never, ever forget who we are.

Yes. Every product is formulated for all curl types — from 2A waves to 4C coils. We test on real textured hair, not mannequin fibers. If you're between textures (like 3B/3C), our formulas adapt to your specific porosity and density.

Are your products really clean? +

100%. No sulfates, no parabens, no silicones, no synthetic fragrance, no mineral oil, no phthalates, no formaldehyde. Ever. Every ingredient is listed in INCI format on each product page so you can verify yourself.

Processing Time

All orders are processed within 1–3 business days. Tracking information is sent by email once your order ships.

U.S. Shipping

Free standard shipping on orders over $45 (5–7 business days). Under $45: $5.95. Expedited 2–3 days: $14.95. Priority overnight: $24.95.

International

Canada $12.95 (7–14 days), UK $14.95, EU $16.95 (10–20 days). Other countries calculated at checkout. Customs duties and taxes are the customer's responsibility.

You have 30 days from receiving your order to request a refund. To be eligible, items must be in the same condition you received them — used or unused is fine, as long as you have proof of purchase.

Email hello@nuarabeauty.co with your order number. We'll send you a return shipping label and instructions. Once we receive your return, refunds are issued to your original payment method within 5–10 business days.

If your item arrived damaged, defective, or you received the wrong product, please email us within 7 days of delivery with a photo, and we'll send a replacement at no cost.

Shipping costs from your original order are non-refundable (except in cases of our error). Gift cards and items marked as Final Sale are non-refundable.
